Qualcomm SnapDragon 835’s performance exceeds A10

Recently, QUALCOMM released the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which Samsung manufactures using the 10 nm process. This new chip reduces power consumption by 40% and achieves a performance improvement of 27%. It also inherited the results of the GFX Bench benchmark test that measured the graphics processing capabilities of the Adreno 540 GPU.

Now, the new Snapdragon 835 chipset was benchmarked by AnTuTu and won 181,434 points. The highest score previously recorded by the Apple A 10 chipset adopted by Apple iPhone 7 Plus was 172,644. Because the Snapdragon 810 frequently overheated and controversy on the Snapdragon 835 chipset, the OctaCore CPU, the first Snapdragon chip running eight cores, is installed.

The prototype which executed Snapdragon 821 SoC with AnTuTu has a 5.9 inch screen of 1440 x 2560 resolution. 4 GB RAM equipped with 64 GB internal storage is carried. Android 7.0 runs this program. This prototype should be equivalent to the typical specification found on high end mobile phones supplied by Snapdragon 835 SoC.
